A visit to Huckleberry Woods

At the end of last week we headed out towards Faversham in Kent to visit Huckleberry Woods.
What a lovely little adventure it was. Booking a session is required in advance for this small business and your booking is for a two hour session. You can also book walks with the sheep and pigs to add in an activity with your visit.
We simply booked a two hour slot to have a wander around and feed the animals. The animals to feed include chickens, alpacas and donkey’s.
A two hour session is plenty of time to wander and enjoy the animals.
After an hour or so the owners of this little farm open up a little cafe selling coffee, homemade cakes and ice cream. This is where we were greeted by a little Robin after cake crumbs. We were happy to oblige!
The hot chocolate went down very well with the mini human who delighted in having a swing in the play area afterwards.
All in all this little place was a delight. We very much enjoyed feeding the alpacas and chickens and having a wander around watching the sheep and pigs. Who knew pigs were so quick on their feet?? It’s very rustic but that adds to its charm. Small children will love it and it’s a lovely little experience which can be tied into a visit in near by Faversham with its array of cafés, bars and independent shops.
Happy Tuesday everyone!
