Charities Helping Our Natural World
Here is a list of some of the charities aiming to make a difference to the natural world.
Raising money for charity works wonders for the cause you are supporting and for you. Helping you feel apart of something bigger.
It is all very well and good raising this money with the intention of sending it to a charity that you believe in. But, with so many different options out there now it can become quite overwhelming.
If you are new to this and just beginning to think about ways to raise money then you may not be aware of how many charities there are and what each of them aim to do to protect and conserve our natural world. I have listed a few charities below to help get you started.
www.woodlandtrust.org.uk - The largest woodland conservation charity in the UK concerned with the creation, protection and restoration of native woodland heritage. They have great ways to get kids involved too.
www.wwf.org.uk - ‘On a mission to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature by conserving the worlds biological diversity, ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable and reducing pollution and wasteful consumption.’
www.panthera.org - ‘Devoted to preserving big cats and their ecosystems around the globe.’
https://oceana.org - ‘The largest international ocean conservation and advocacy organization. Working to protect and restore the world’s oceans through targeted policy campaigns.’
www.peta.org.uk - ‘People for the ethical treatment of animals and its affiliates are dedicated to the protection of animals.’
www.greenpeace.org.uk - ‘Defending the natural world and promotes peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse, and championing responsible solutions or our fragile environment.’
www.nationaltrust.org.uk - ‘Looking after the places you love, from houses, buildings and gardens to coast and countryside.’
www.rainforest-alliance.org - ‘Working to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behaviour.’
www.fsc-uk.org - ‘To promote responsible management of the worlds forest.’

https://www.wwt.org.uk – ‘The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust: The charity aims to protect wetlands, which are a primary source of drinking water for both humans and wildlife’

https://www.sttiggywinkles.org.uk – ‘Tiggywinkles – Named after one of Beatrix Potter’s most famous characters the charity is one of the worlds leading wildlife hospitals.
https://www.bumblebeeconservation.org – ‘The Bumblebee Conservation Trust: est in 2006 due to the alarming decline in bumblebee numbers. The charity works to establish new-friendly habitats and encourages the general public to make changes to their own gardens.

All of these amazing charities deserve all the help they can get in helping to fight climate change and save our natural spaces and wildlife. Even if you are not in a position to raise money then personal donations are always welcome by charities and a little by a lot of people can go along way.
