Nature Notes: Feeding Lorikeets

Last week, in between Christmas and New Year before I came down with the dreaded flu that has completely knocked me out for the past week. I had the complete joy of feeding Lorikeets at Longleat Safari Park.

Surprisingly gentle for a hungry bird they gentle cling on whilst using their long tongues to lick out the nectar in a small pot I had grasped in my hand.

I absolutely loved this experience and can't wait for another excuse to hand feed birds.

I hope the new year is treating everyone well.
